Yugok-dong Dinosaur Footprint Fossil
Dinosaur Footprint Fossil from the Early Cretaceous
There is a dinosaur footprint fossil from the Early Cretaceous in Yugok-dong, Jung-gu, Ulsan. The Early Cretaceous was about 100 million years ago. About eighty dinosaur footprints are found here, including three footprints of Maniraptora, a carnivorous dinosaur, and seventy-seven herbivorous dinosaur footprints. The footprints indicate that dinosaurs ran quickly in a certain direction and it is estimated that the footprints were made as one Maniraptora chased 9 Goseongosaurus. The dinosaur footprint fossils have been kept in good condition and are valuable data for investigating the natural history of Ulsan during that geologic age.
