Ttokttak-gil
Where visitors want to walk with a cherished someone
Ttokttak-gil was derived from the sound of a clock--‘tick-tock tick-tock’--to offer solace to the youth of Ulsan who experienced success and discouragement in the tumultuous industrialization process in the 1970s and 1980s and look back on that past once again. Ttokttak-gil, formed around the Clock Tower intersection in Jung-gu, Ulsan, is a place where the affection of the people can be felt as if knocking on the door to the mind of modern people, which has become strongly hardened. Stroll along to appreciate the colorful wall paintings in the narrow alleys, and you may feel the cozy and affectionate emotion hidden deep in the mind. While the alley is not as long as you might imagine, walking step by step like a game of hide-and-seek, and you may encounter tremendous emotion before you even realize it.
