The Hakseongsan Mountain History Finding Trail connects Ulsan Taehwagang River, Hakseong Park, Hakseong Park II and Hakseongsan Mountain. It’s a hiking trail for visiting the sites that contain the history of Ulsan. Encounter a variety of historic sites where you can learn history along this trail, including the Ulsan Japanese Fortress, Chunguisa Temple, enshrining the tablets of martyrs fighting against Japanese invaders during the Japanese invasion in 1592 and 1597, and Gugangseowon Confucian Academy, the first private school in Ulsan during the Joseon period, enshrining the tablets of Confucian scholars including Jeong Mongju and Yi Eonjeok. Create a good memory of appreciating the superb view of the columnar joint and Taehwagang River and take a photo looking down on a panoramic view of the old downtown.
